Fox Cub Films was established in 2012 by producer, Savannah James-Bayly, and has produced over twelve short films, starring talent such as Jason Flemyng, Bill Paterson and Alice Lowe. These films have shown at major festivals internationally, have had support from the likes of Film London, BBC Films, BFI, BBC4 and NOWNESS, and have been distributed on TV, DVD, VOD and in cinemas.
Now, Fox Cub Films has four features and a TV series in development, all crafted with a passion for telling fresh, bold stories from new perspectives - including Jack, written by James Pearson with development finance from SFTN and Layla, written by regular collaborator Amrou Al-Kadhi and in development with Film4.
Previously, Savannah has acted as an Associate Producer on A Guide to Second Date Sex, for her role in developing the film, written and directed by Rachel Hirons and staring George Mackay and Alexandra Roach, and as Associate Producer on the 3 x 90 minute TV series, QUEENS OF MYSTERY, for Acorn TV. She also has a project in development with Channel X (The Detectorists) - a TV comedy-drama series that she created with writer Geoff Deane (Kinky Boots).
In 2017 Savannah was selected for BFI Flare Festival's mentorship scheme, and was paired with Mike Goodridge, CEO of Protagonist Pictures. She was a participant of BAFTA Crew x BFI Net.Work 2017, Birds Eye View Filmonomics 2016, Edinburgh Festival's 2016 Talent Lab, Film London's Micromarket 2015, and the American Pavilion's Film Programme at Cannes 2015.
